Milliseconds when exporting TagLogging data (the "SplitDateTimeAndMs" ghost function)

Heypermann Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am using Connectivity Pack to export TagLogging data to a CSV file (which I have seen is really a "hot topic" on this forum :) ) I create the connection and launch the Query and manipulate the data from the ADODC RECORDSET and write it to an external CSV file. The problem is that when I read the resulting file, the column corresponding to the timestamp does not have milliseconds! I have performed some tests and seen that, if instead copying the data from the ADODC RECORDSET to the CSV, I copy directly the ADODC RECORDSET to a FlexGrid object, then the timestamp has a different format (and it has the milliseconds). From what I have searched, it seems to me that, when I read the timestamp information from the ADODC RECORDSET: recordset.Fields(1).Value (1 is the field corresponding to the timestamp) VBS automatically changes the type (it is originally a "dateTime" type) and as a result of the conversion, the format of the time changes, and the milliseconds get lost On the WinCC Connectivity pack example project, I have seen that this problem is solved by using this function: SplitDateTimeAndMs recordset.Fields(1).Value, strDateTime, iMS 'Split Milisecond from DateTime Which originates an Array (strDateTime) containing the date and the time, and a second variable (iMS) containing the milliseconds. That would be the perfect solution for me, but I cannot get this "SplitDateTimeAndMs" function working on my code, and I don´t know which library is missing or what should I do in order to activate it. Does anybody know about this problem? Thanks in advance

Results should be fine I guess, but I was expecting a method to recover the milliseconds from the recorset rather than calculating them from the difference of a date rounding process... (I have a hudge amount of records to export, and a direct method should be much faster than having to run such a big script for each record) On the other hand, I have tried the first proposed solution. The SQL sentence to convert the dataTime format works fine when I launch it directly on the Database... SELECT CONVERT(varchar, Timestamp, 21) ... but when I try to implement it on my script there is no way to include it on the ADODC RECORDSOURCE... "Tag:R,(1;2;3),'0000-00-00 00:05:00.000','0000-00-00 00:00:00.000'" ... it's a pity the format of this sentence is so closed that I cannot add the SQL conversion. Does anybody know if there is a way to do that? If there is no other alternative I guess I will have to end up using this method (let's see if anybody else has another solution). In any case, thank you very much for the proposal!

Heypermann Posts: 19 Rating: (0)	Hi! I have received a script from siemens tech support with the solution. It seems they have implemented a solution based on your first proposal (calculating them from the difference of a date rounding process) so I guess I will have to go with that solution
