Currently I set DB21.DBX12.0 and DB31.DBX4.0 when selecting,for example, the X-axis. I've read through both the manual operator component and basic function manuals but still have not been successful in getting the device to work. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If it is, you need to set these parameters for the handwheel to work: MD11350 = 7 MD11351 = 1 and MD11352 = 1 if the handwheel is connected to X60 of first MCP. If this is not working, read more in the Function Manual: Extended functions in chapter 4.8. Best Regards Tommy

Cntrl Eng Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Thank you for your reply. I setup the parameters as instructed but still cannot traverse the axes. I reviewed section 4.8 and it seems I've setup the necessary MD's. I'm not sure what else needs to be set. Are their PLC signals that must be set? I've attempted to set DB21.DBX12.0 (Handwheel 1), DB21.DBX12.6 - 7 (Travel in the minus/plus dir) and various other PLC signals for activating the handwheel but have been unsuccessfull in traversing any of my machine or geometry axes. Thanks for you support.

tommy.h Advanced Member Joined: 9/19/2010 Last visit: 6/7/2023 Posts: 15 Rating: (1)	Hi Youmust activate Jog Inc in the mode group (DB11.DBX2.0 --> DBX2.5), and you need to activate the handwheel in the correct axis (DB31.DBX4.0 for Handwheel 1 in Axis 1). This should be enough to move the axis inmachine coordinate system. For more information, see on your Toolbox CD under folder "8x0D\020607\BSP_PROG", there is a file called "minibhg.zip" which contains a standard block from Siemens to operate the Mini-HHU. Jason. Experienced Member Joined: 7/13/2008 Last visit: 9/20/2024 Posts: 107 Rating: (9)	Your step 7 is probably set for English Mnemonics, and the source code is using German ones. Options, customize, language tab, change to German Mnemonics. Restart step 7, recompile the source code. Then switch back to English Mnemonics if you prefer.
