Missing basic HMI panel images from TIA Portal V17

Dear All, We want to run an OPC UA server on an S7-1200 PLC. This requires 4.5 firmware on the PLC. To our knowledge, this firmware is only supported by TIA v 17. When the 4.5 firmware based program is installed on the PLC, the KTP900 HMI (with 15.1 firmware) will stop communicating with the PLC When we try to update the HMI firmware to version 17, the update runs to the error shown in the first image "Update of OS has failed due to a missing panel image." However, there is no TIA v17 version panel image package available for KTP900 basic panel on Siemens site. At https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/hn/en/view/109746530 page only find the images for Basic panel up to v16 version What can be the solution? Thanks, Gabor |

install dvd3/4 from tia V17 will solve this |

Hello The secure communication will be the real reason: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/de/en/view/109803668 You could also use an older Image but then you have to deactivate the secure communication. If you want to use it andd work with V17 then install as suggested. Bye Murof |
