You should not format SIMATIC MMCs, and if formatted, you can not recover it again. You have to buy a new one. How do you format or reset an MMC (Micro Memory Card) for SIMATIC S7-300 CPUs? I am sure that he did not used a Siemens software to do the job. SIEMENS doesn't released a software for MMC recovery. And in my opinion, I think buying a new MMC is better solution than using this recovered MMC as it might be recovered from non trusted SW, specially MMC is not an expensive element in any project.

Hello, I agree 100% with Ayman that such recovered MMC may malfunction over a period of time so better to go with NEW MMC.

SolutionFinder Posts: 559 Rating: (87)	I agree with IBN-SERVICES. The third party software is available to copy the image from existing same size of MMC to formatted one. I also did the same so many times. If by mistake costumer formats it from normal command. Here there is no problem with MMC. just we are transferring original image back which was formatted by mistake. So I also don't think so to get the new MMC in this case.
