if you want to communicate with a third party slave you have, of course, to use the modbus master module. you do not have to call the blocks in OB 100. the logical address that you have to address depends on your third party device. please read the manual of the device and have a look at the modbus manuals of siemens. e.g. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/9260793 one additional hint: which platform are you using? in STEP 7 V13 are the blocks the blocks for modbus and et 200s already integrated in "Instructions > communication > communication processors > et 200s serial interface" there is also a useful help if you press F1 while focussing a block. |
