I am trying the same with a TP 177B ( Configured with WInCC Flexible 2008 SP2 ) I do not get any errors during configuration / downloading. I have tried using RS485 as well as RS422 ( I have also changed DIP switches asshown on back of TP ).. However there is no Transmit/Receive happening from the TP177B ( Configured as Modbus Master ). TP is working normally when I check it with MPI / Profibus. Thanks Navnag
