jigarhg Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	Hello, I am using two Modbus RTUs CP 341-RS 422/485 in my system consisting of S7-400 cpu's (hot redundancy). In my configuration I have configured my 1st cp341 as a master and the second one as a slave.Master will fetch data from the slave. Have inserted the Dongle and have also parameterized both the master and the slave.But while loading the respective drivers in the CP 341,I get error msgs 2248:2004 (showing unable to read module status) and error 2248:2016 (showing driver update canceled because of error).Getting this error while loading drivers in master and slave.Please help. I would ckeck if the module is correctly working: - did you connect 24V DC to the power terminals of the module itself - it is not enough to power theET200M itself, the module has an own power input - is the backplane connector not forgotten? - are some pins at the back of the module damaged? -do you get any LED indication at startupon the module? The group error display SF always lights up after POWER ON and goes out after initialization. If configuration data has been generated for the CP 341, the SF LED again lights up briefly during parameter reassignment.

jigarhg Posts: 24 Rating: (1)	Hello, I have connected 24V DC to the power terminals of CP 341 Backplane connector is also connected along with dongle. the Txd,Rxd and SF led light up onpower up and go out immediately. Yet I am unable to load drivers to the module. Should I check for any other thing?

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (324)	Hello Jigarhg, with the latest version of CP341 it is not longer necessary to transfer the Modbus driver to CP341. Just have a look at this FAQ. You shouldparameterize the Modbus driver for the CP and transfer the parameterization to the CPU. Regards, Kaulquappe
