modbus in ASCII

HMZ Posts: 45 Rating: (4)	Hi all, I want to use CP341 as a slave ASCII but I have tow points: 1. Does the MODBUS slave (RTU) copy license (Dongle) serves ASCII? 2. Where I can put the ASCII slave address? (for RTU there was a place to assign slave address) *The MODBUS slave RTU copy license (Dongle) order number is: 6ES7870-1AB01-0YA1 Thanks

There are more than one ASCII protocol one is called "ASCII" and the other called "modbus ASCII slave" I was asking for the second one but it wasn't shown on the Parameter Assignment Tool because I didn't download the required drivers. So I downloaded the driver "driver for Modbus ASCII Slave" and the "modbus ASCII slave" is shown now. using the "modbus RTU slave" dongle with "modbus ASCII slave" is not possible.
