Hi, Is it possible to simulate and check the modbus & profibus values in Step 7 without any hardware system. Thanks.

Hello Plant2PC you can "simulate" Profibus values with PLCSIMby putting in any values for any of the I/O addresses and won't even need the S7 PLC hardware for this. If you are aftera more sophisticated simulation of your Profibus Network, you can also spend some real money and buy SIMBA Profibus(now you will need the S7 CPU now though). Neither of the above helps with simulating Modbus though, if you google "Modbus Simulator" you will however find plenty of PC based application that can do this(in which case you will also have to have the S7 PLC hardware in place though).
