The 40001 holding register is the Control / Status word. When I write this whole word, I get 8382 message back. How can I write one bit only? Tokker

Jay. Posts: 1283 Rating: (105)	Can you share a pic of the block online and how you are using it? Just in the data ptr , you can use array of bool and command individual bits. It maybe possible.

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (324)	Hello, a holding register is a word. It is not possible to write 1 bit in a word. If you can access this variable as coil as well (Modbus address 1xxxx), it would be possible to set 1 bit. Regards, Kaulquappe

I can write another register for exemple setponit. This address is the Control AND Status. 4 bits are controll bit, AND the other are the Status bits. Jay. Posts: 1283 Rating: (105)	So now it means your data length might be a problem. But before confirming that, can you post a screenshot of your online MB master block. And also the data PTR data block. It would be helpful if you could explain how you do the writing command step by step.

Kaulquappe Posts: 3093 Rating: (324)	Hello, error 8382 means that the server responds with an exception frame with exception code 2. There are different reasons why devices respond with this exception. E.g. - address not available - write request to a read only variable - write request to half of a REAL which is located in two registers and serveral more. You must check the manual of the server to find out when it sends exception 2. Regards, Kaulquappe
