Modbus RTU S7-1200 and CB1241

ferret_maybe Member Joined: 11/3/2016 Last visit: 6/11/2023 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have a PLC S7-1200 (6ES7215-1AG40-0XB0) with firmware v.4.1 and CB1241 v1.0. I try to program Modbus RTU slave in PLC with TIA Portal v13 SP1 and I use communicate instruction MB_Slave v.2.1. I can't communicate with PLC. What do I need to do? 1. Downgrade version of MB_Slave to 1.2 or 2.0? 2. Upgrade PLC firmware to version 4.2 or higher? Will it help me or maybe need something else?

S7-1200 (6ES 214-1BG40-0ХВ0) firmware version 4.2.2 2. CB 1241 of the same model and firmware The differences in the model and firmware of the controller and the transmission of data on the CB 1241 with Modbus RTU is normal. At the moment there is no access to the S7-1200 (6ES7215-1AG40-0XB0) and therefore I wanted to ask in advance about possible problems with Modbus RTU. Thanks for you help.

This is error 8180. Made an update of the operating system firmware for version 4.02.03. I do not know why, but modbus RTU began to work.
