Hi everybody!

I'm trying to communicate by RS-485 modbus a TLB485 (slave) with s7 1200 (master) using the CB1241 integrated at the CPU s7 1200 1215C DC/DC/RLY.

However, when I use the COMM_LOAD module, I get "ERROR 16#8180: Invalid port ID". I'm using as port in the COMM_LOAD "PLC(1)" because its ID is 269 (the same as the ID of the CB1241) so I don't understand what is the problem.

In the pics you can see all that I mean.

I have read the sample project for modbus and other topics related without get a solution. Please, help me.

Error 8180 is a not mentioned failure.

But I guess it is because you use MW0 not only as MW0. As I can see on your pictures you use M1.0 also as marker for the first scan. M1.0 is content of MW0.

Please avoid those "overlapping".

A mi me pasa lo mismo, hace unos días podía comunicar un s7-1200 como esclavo y un unitronics como maestro. 

Ayer probé comunicarme con un Multimetro de schneider p700 y me salió ese error, ahora pruebo comunicarme otra vez con el unitronics con la misma configuración y me bota el mismo error

this error  16#8180 (Invalid value for MB_DB parameter, The value configured for MB_DB (instance data DB) at the Modbus_Comm_Load instruction is not valid. Check the interconnection of the Modbus_Comm_Load instruction and its error messages)

the MB_ADDR is the device address and as you can see from Siemens example, they write it in OB100 at start up and use it as input for MB_Master and in the Comm_load you have to use MB_DB from the MB_Master instance DB as input for the MB_DB,
