hello experts. i have a problem please help me. i have a protection relay that i can communicating with modbus serial, iec 61870-5-103 , dnp3,..... with pc. but i want to use modbus communication because i don't find siemens solution for another protocols. as i understand from manuals, modbus works in some modes(ascii, 3964,....) how can i find that my relay work with modbus ascii or..... ? in relay manual isn't a useful subject for that, i just know my relay can communicate with modbus protocol with a dedicated address (for example 123). i want communicate with relay via et200s 1si module. i found an example here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/US/llisapi.dll?func=cslib.csinfo&lang=en&objid=25358470&caller=view please help me. Hello bermuda The CP341 supports either Modbus ASCII (rarely used) or Modbus RTU (commonly used) and you'll find its Modbus RTUmanual HERE. The ET200S 1SI does only support Modbus RTUand you'll find its manual HERE. Either way, both can be used for Modbus RTU (the choice is yours) and I hope this helps. |
