Modbus TCP/IP communication with 3rd party PLC through Gateway and Ethernet Switch

Dear all,

I have a question about the Modbus TCP/IP communication. I'm using S7-416H PLC with CP443, with Gateway and Ethernet Switch in the network. A Mitsubishi PLC was connected to the Ethernet Switch as a Master, and my S7-416H PLC was used as a Slave.

I have no experience with this kind of communication, and I have searched online, I couldn't find a clear guide on how to setup the communication and the relevant function blocks to be used.

Can anyone give me any suggestions?

maybe pls tell us that Gateway functionality for first, here I see maybe important to know first about it's functionality.

Recently we have done Modbus TCP/IP communication with Messung PLC via Modbus Ethernet Gateway supplied by Renu Electronics pvt.ltd.,india.

Please check catalouge.

1.We need to program Modbus data transfer in PLC.

2.We need to program Renu Gateway 6WY-610.

3.In wincc Tag Management we need to configure tags under Modbus TCP/IP.
