from recent time I have a problem with modbus TCP block in TIA Portal 13 SP1. In my old projects, when I pull it from the Communication->Others->MODBUS TCP->MB_Client, it had IP Octet filed where I write address of a device from which I want to read data. Now, after some update, it is different and it don't contain IP filed. I change versions of MODBUS TCP and Open user communication block to same version but the block stay the same.

So, I need help to return my old MODBUS TCP block or use new one (to find where to put IP address).

in this case I recommend use simple trick with TCON instruction putted somewhere in code, not exactly activated but via this instruction connection configuration (right up icon on it) you can define needed connection options as you need, simply instance DB will be created. This DB reference with your required cfg you can put to your MB_CLIENT CONNECT field. This is simple quick solution.

Update: ok, in other hand if you don't want to make that connection via TCON, look to TIA help about TCON_IP_v4 structure.

Unfortunately, I still don't know where to put IP address. Do you have any other solution?

ok no problem. Again pls, make in your project one FC in LAD f.ex. Insert to it TCON instruction with your required version. Look to TCON block, right from TCON name are 2 icons, one like bag and this is your option. Click on it and bottom of page you can see T_CON configuration options. Under Connection (click on it) - Connection parameter you can set all what you need, protocol, IP, ID of connection, port and also connection DB of your connection which you need to your Client input field as I sugested before. Look for first who will be Client and who Server. This is simplest solution.
