modbus/TCP problem

gabriel74 Posts: 30 Rating: (1)	Hello! I´m trying to connect my s7-400 plc with 35 drives using modus/TCP protocol and I also want to connectmy plc with3plcs more using TCP protocol. The connections between the plcs work well, but the modbus/TCP connections have a lot of faults. The s7-400 cpu needs a lot of time to establish the connections with the drives, sometimes more than an hour. Do you know why? thanks

Tomcat Posts: 433 Rating: (48)	Hi gabriel74, I don't really understand your description. TCP connections are static connections. These connections are established when CPU is go to RUN. And you mean at the beginning the connection establishment needs a long time? Or after a connection break? Tomcat

gabriel74 Posts: 30 Rating: (1)	HiTomcat, The connectionproblem is present when I start the plc. Then,the plcneeds at least one hour to connect with all the drives (abb switches). The connections with the other plcs are established very fast. After the first hour, all the connections work well and I have not problems until the plc goes to stop. Regards.

Then attach the file here and we can check it. It's not normal (of course), that the connection establishment needs so a long time. Wüstenräuber
