How to know a modbus slave tcp simulator communicates with PLCSIM?

How to put IP address in modsim or ip is only enough for PC?

I have made a sample program with Modbus Client block and try to read some modbus values from modsim, I am getting an error 80C5 in status which midbus communication failure or remote partner missing as per related other post about this error.I am getting other status such as 7001 & 7002.

Even I downloaded modbus poll earlier trial and getting same error.

if I can enter here, your PC's IP is used here with port 502 as standard. On PLCSIM you need have same subnet as PC has, logically. Take that PLCSIM virtual HW as normal PLC with defined network as need to be, then you continue with standard procedure as with real HW.

In modbus partners differs from Siemens modbus slave means in siemens server

modbus master means in Siemens client

so if siemens is server which is modbus slave you need a program simulates the modbus master as modbus poll

if siemens is client which is modbus master you need a program simulates the modbus slave
