Modbus Test Client with s7-1200 PLC

They aren't free but can be used free for some conditions that can be useful also without problems. Very recommend them.

tried using it with mixed results. I had similar results with other modbus simulators. After downloading to PLC I can connect and only while the status of the modbus server library block in the PLC shows 7002 once it goes to 0000 I cannot connect again. Once connected the status of modbus block goes to 0000. I cannot write to registers.Do you know why this may be?

this STATUS value shows reason, simply in my opinion if STATUS is 7002 then job is processing, only STATUS 0 shows right execution of instruction with result ok. Look to Help of instruction, there is description of STATUS and of course other status values. Look to Communication or Modbus/TCP conference, somewhere are topics about Server implementation on S7-1x00, also DJ has somewhere post his examples/project with different Client/Server implementation. Also Siemens examples can be found with search box in right corner of this page, really I must say don't know now what posts are about that examples, topics are rise every day so better need manually find some topics.
