MODBUS: write to register from PLC (Siemens) will take around 7-10 second?

I got info from a friend that a write to register from PLC (Siemens) will take around 7-10 second. Is that correct? What factor it depend i-e timing improvements Splitted from MODBUS RTU CP 341-1CH01-0AE0 + ABB SACE PR122.

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	It depends on the number of MODBUS sequences you have and also on the configuration on the Modicon side. For a simple application a response time of 1-2 seconds is normal. There are certain recommendations (like calling the sequence block in a much faster OB than send/receive blocks) to improve the performance. Regards
