In case of Modbus serial you will have to order an addition interface module (i.e. CP341). For Modbus TCP you need a CPU with internal PN interface or an external CP343 module. There are otherpossibilities as well, but try to stick with the siemens solutions. Regards.

TIBI68 Gold Member Joined: 12/1/2009 Last visit: 2/9/2025 Posts: 672 Rating: (147)	Hi, first you asked about modbus possibilities foran S7-300 CPU and now, in your second post, it is suddenly a ET200S CPU. Which CPU is it now finally? I know that for the ET200S is a serial interface for modbus available. That serial modbus can be converted into Modbus TCP by a converter (i.e. from LANTRONIX), if there is no direct TCP solution available. Regards. If your ET200S CPU is one with a PN port, then the Open Modbus-TCP package will work for you. In this case you do not need any additional hardware or converters. Regards.

For this i am asking how to implement a communication between this CPU and EUROTHERM temperature controllers 2000 serie. thanks in advance
