Good day excellence,

I'm trying to achieve the communication between S7-1200 PLC V4 / CM1241(RS485) and the Delta Temparature control , but  so far there is NO success . The Error that i'm getting is 8383 which really confuse me because I've checked  my DATA PTR and it's looks okay , i'm reading 0..5 words and the DATA LEN   is 12 bytes which i think is fine . May i ask you guys to assist me please.

Thanks for responding to my question  ,

The Online  help tells me the following " Error in the data address or address outside the valid range of DATA_PTR " , this helps even if i'm trying to read just 1 word so I do not know , what the problem here.

Can you check my attached pdf maybe you will see the problem .

Thanks you all for the response . Even now I'm still struggling to get the communication or to read Modbus holdregister from this Delta controller . The question is how do I read from Delta Modbus register 1000H using Siemens S7-1200 , How do I point to this Delta Modbus holding register . I have used another 3rd party PLC and the configuration was very simple and I believe that even with the S7-1200 it should be simple. The controller is DTB4896  . The error is 8383 and I have tried lot of thing to read the information from this Delta Temp with no success , can anyone help me with the addressing part.

Thanks for willing to assist me here. I know once Siemens stuff works ,it works forever , however  , I think i'm too close now to get this Delta Temp working with Siemens s7-1200 PLC. Let me tell you what I have done with the other 3rd party PLC : 

The Delta Temp controller has the following Modbus Holding Reg: 

Delta                                                    3rd Party PLC                Siemens 

1000H Process value (PV)         :    4096                             : ???

Now Im reading 5 Words and on this 3rd Party PLC  everything works fine but not with Siemens PLC (still getting Error 8383 even if i try to point 41001 as suggested previously) . Is possible for you to send me a sample project as to how you would have connected to this Delta Temp . I just need to see your MB Master block only , as i said it could be that i'm missing simple things here .

I have came right now , see attached short summary of what i did .  Siemens Modbus RTU when you connecting with Delta 1000H = 4096 Dec + 400001 = 44097  First holding register if you want to read PV .
