Modem MD720-3 has failed or it it in any mode?

evchserg Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hellol. I have 2 modems MD720-3. In the beginning both of them were work correctly. But after a while one of them had a following problem (it seems after manipulations with button SET). After power on modem indication of its modes goes on the following sequence: 1. In the beginning 1 time blinks a LED «S»; 2. Then 6 times consistently light up LED; //the Alarm system of a mode of loading 3. The LED "With" continues to burn in a current of 1 second; 4. All LED go out for 5 seconds; 5. Further steps with 2 on 5 infinitely repeat. Steps 1 … 2 completely correspond to a regular operating mode of the working modem. At the working modem on 3 step the LED «S» starts to blink. //In this mode the modem should pass a stage of check PIN of a code, even if the card is not inserted into it SIM. On button SET as does not react (to hold at inclusion to hold less than 2 seconds, from 2 till 4 seconds, 4 seconds there are more). To a command +++ and command AT too does not react (it is checked up on speeds 9600, 19200, 57600, 115200). A cable suitable, and computer options true (it is checked up on the working modem). Besides the faulty modem sends any package to the port. Then power down modem. After few second power it up. The controller to which modem is connected will try to configure it and everything should be normal. If this procedure isn't helpful then write here to what PLC this modem is connected to and in what mode do you try to work (OPC or Terminal). I gave you advice keeping in mind that you use it with Sinaut MicroSC in OPC mode. If your situation is different, write here.

evchserg Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi. I wrote earlier that the modem does not react to button SET.I have found a theme in a forum with precisely same problems. /tf/WW/en/Posts/15756#top 2. There is a known issue with those running light. I hope its not the same with your modem But when you attach only the powersupply (no modemcable, no ppi-cable) and the running light bersists all the time. Even when you press the "SET"button then you should send the modem to your local support / or open a support request. You will get a new modem then free of charge when you send the old broken modem to them
