Hi everyone! Does anyone know why I should use CH_AI, CH_DI, CH_AO, CH_DO for every input\output signal in my project? thanks |

Hello Rusgaz, This is because the CPU can processinputs and outputsfaster. It is somewhere in the PCS7 manual. Also, it makes sure that a signal is only in one state during a cycle. Therefore, the signal cannot change during the cycle, so no changing values. The CPU reads from the driver blocks. And as addition, analog values are scaled automatically (after you give the minimum and maximum range). For example: you have RAW analog values in the factory and in Simatic, you have to convert that to a REAL type. The driver block CH_AI does this automatically. Best regards, Sandor |
