Also, it makes sure that a signal is only in one state during a cycle. Therefore, the signal cannot change during the cycle, so no changing values. The CPU reads from the driver blocks. And as addition, analog values are scaled automatically (after you give the minimum and maximum range). For example: you have RAW analog values in the factory and in Simatic, you have to convert that to a REAL type. The driver block CH_AI does this automatically. Best regards, Sandor

Niranjan Prasad Posts: 691 Rating: (37)	The driver blocks also gives you the idication of the signal such as wire break or wrong parameter setting( current , voltage) inthe QBAD when you compile the charts , you will see that MODE is conneted to the CPU Diagnostic Block The driver blocks read the configuration in the MODE parameter and gives you the status of the signal
