Monitor with call up path now unavailable?

rickowitt Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently upgraded my Step 7 v5.4 to SP5. Since doing this, I no longer seem to be able to 'monitor with call up path'. Is there some setting that I need to change? If there is, I can't seem to find it. I've tried everything I can think of, but after going online with Simatic Manager and right clicking on the particular instance of a multi-instance FB, I don't get the option to monitor with call up path. Does anyone have an idea as to what I might be doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Rick O. Witt

daga Gold Member Joined: 3/18/2009 Last visit: 2/8/2022 Posts: 306 Rating: (93)	In the LAD/FBD/STL editor check whether correct Test environment is set (Debug>Operation) Ensure that "Operation" is set to "Test Mode". Don't forget to read the associated help before changing the operation mode.

rickowitt Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Thank you, That does work for me; however, I don't understand why I have to do that now when I've never had to do it before. Is there a way to make it permanent so that I would just go online with the processor, right click on the particular multi-instance block in the ladder editor and 'Monitor with call up path' would be available? I hope you don't think I'm being ungrateful; I'm thankful just to be able to use that feature again. Rick

Maybe someone can tell us why it seems to work sometimes and sometimes not and how can it be set permanently.. :)

Follow the below Steps for Monitoring the FC/FB (multiple instance) with called up path. 1.Open the location where multiple instance is called. 2.Go to Menu-->Debug -->Select Test Operation Mode 3.Save the Block and Download 4.Now Go Online..Right Click on the multiple instance 'Called Block'-->Monitor with Callup path. Here it is
