Monitoring S7 300 via internet

Hotz 70 Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Dear All, I need your help to explain me how to make a remote monitoring system of S7-300 via internet. The machine maker ask me to make these system, so he can monitoring the PLC program if i get trouble. I dont have experience to make this system. I use S7-300 CPU 317T 2DP, so i think i need ethernet CP 343. But i dont know how to connect this to internet, so my machine maker can monitoring PLC Program from his country. Do i need special modem to connect it to connect to internet? Are there anybody explain to me what modules i need to realize this system and how it works? Thank you and Best Regards.

Hello, Generally , we prefer Team Viewer Software in Laptop/PC for remote access. No matters on which Protocal you are communicating with PLC. Youhaveto connect internet with laptop/pc by any means & also Connect your laptop with PLC , it will communicate remotely without any problem.

Their are so many options to do so, Normally, people use Remote controlling PC software, like Mikogo, Team Viewer etc at remote as well as client end to view and monitor PLC program via internet, That client PC must be connected to PLC using MPI/PPI Adopters or Etherner or any other interface that allowed PLC monitoring. You also can CP343 for monitoring, on client side CP343 must be configured with Ethernet Router, further connected with Internet, But this involve alot of risk of unauthorized useage, for authorization PLC must be programmed with password for monitoring and re-programing. I have try using Team Viewer to remote other laptop that connect to the PLC and i have try to monitoring PLC program with Team Viewer Software. It works, and I think this is the simplest way to do a remote monitoring. Maybe for the other option, i will try to learn more. Thank you very much for your sugesstion
