More S7315F Digital Input Card issues

DesignTech Experienced Member Joined: 9/6/2008 Last visit: 9/14/2024 Posts: 177 Rating: (1)	Hi All I have a 315F PLC configured as attached file with two ETs of SAFE cards. I believe the the 6ES7 326-1RF00 0AB0 cards I have in my ET rack have a factory fault / recall active. Does anyone know what this fault causes. I have 3 inputs wired into thesecond card I16.0 - I16.2 and they work. I have had the other 5 inputs 'bridged' with a 1k resistor for a while. When I came to use these other inputs, I noticed that the next 2 inputs I16.3 and I16.4 when I took the resistor out did not fail, the input light stayed on and the inputs in the PLC where on. The next three inputs worked (failed)after the resistor was removed? Is this part of this recall fault I am hearing about? At the same time I am having another issue with the other digital input card on the second ET rack (4), the 326 1BK01 card has no SAFE light on and no SF light on either. If I 'tap' the card the SAFE light flickers on and then off again, which makes me think there is a connection issue with the bus module. I am not yet using the I/O on this card so have not noticed when this started happening, I also cannot work on PLC as the plant is running and cannot be stopped. The AI card next to it is also not wired but the inputs when tested with a loop simulator work fine. Also my card is actually a 1BK02 but I can't find the HW config for the 1BK02 only the 1BK01 even after a HW update. The error I get on the card diagnostics is something along the lines of the message frame error, is my error related to the incorrect version or is my connection thoery possibly valid? I am certain that when initially installed this card worked, SAFE light on and inputs tested fine. Where could I get the 1BK02 GSD? You must have the correct F configuration Tool. Latest versiuon is here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/15208817
