Motor 1FT6044-1AF71-4AG1 hunting problem

Controls_Engineer Posts: 60 Rating: (1)	Hi,I am having a problem in servo motor 1FT6044-1AF71-4AG1. I am using this motor in our turning machine with 840D and connected with 2X15 amps LT module. When the motor powered up it starts hunting and making humming noise. After few minitues the motor temperature starts suits up. I have checked the encoder and found ok. Give me your thoughts to repair this motor. Thanking you in advance. Venki - Controls

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (473)	Hello.... Have you check the motor winding and the power cable continuity? does it shows proper or unbalanced..... If you have spare power module try replacing after ckecking the above steps..... Regards, Prakash

Controls_Engineer Posts: 60 Rating: (1)	I have already confirmed that problem with motoronly. After changing the motor machine starts runningfine. Iwant tounderstand what went wrong and which causes the motor failurer. Thanks

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (473)	Could be your winding short / open / submerged with coolant or oil.....could be one of the reason for the failures....best judge is you ....you can judge it properly.... Regards, Prakash

rantu Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	HI, Hunting of motrs may come due to Excessive gain or Mechanical problem (axis jaming etc) Pls. check Drive MD 1407 & 1409. Reduce 1407 and check or Increase 1409. Definitely you will see Improvement. If still problem persist pls. reply. Rantu

Controls_Engineer Posts: 60 Rating: (1)	Dear Rantu, Even after playing with parameter 1407 and 1409 i am not able to see any improvement. 1407 varided between0.01 to 0.09 (Original value 0.13355) 1409 varied between 11 to 25 (Original value 10) Awaiting for reply Thanks, Venki
