motor modules at left side of SLM booksize ?

Technology Team Platinum Expert Joined: 10/11/2006 Last visit: 9/30/2024 Posts: 5909 Rating: (805)	Hello, That' s right, with the Smart Line Modules 5 kW and 10 kW (both are 50 mm Modules) there is no DC link bracket and no screw on the left side, so that only mounting to the right is possible there. All other current Booksize Infeed Modules have the possibility to mount Motor Modules to the left.

Technology Team Hello, That' s right, with the Smart Line Modules 5 kW and 10 kW (both are 50 mm Modules) there is no DC link bracket and no screw on the left side, so that only mounting to the right is possible there. All other current Booksize Infeed Modules have the possibility to mount Motor Modules to the left.

That something is technically possible, doesn't necessarily mean it can be used in industrial environment. In this case one of issues can be IP rating lost.

Like I often see used with HVAC systems I guess. I see where that would not work out. However, inside an electrical enclosure, wires between modules should be acceptable. However, that's still a strange one because someone wanted to add this motor module after already installing all the other components on the back panel. Perhaps it makes motor wiring more convenient. So as mentioned before, at 5 kW and 10 kW you can only connect at the right side.
