Mouse cursor position

Hi Siemens and Siemens fans!

Would there be a method / property / tag to extract the mouse cursor position on an HMI? The specific HMI is an TP2200 comfort, the IDE is Tia Portal V13 sp1 upd 1 with WinCC Advanced.

Remember, "no" is a perfectly fine answer, and "with WinCC Professional" as well.

The context is to make a faceplate-popup dragable. I want to make a button in the top-bar of the faceplate, and implement the "Press" or "Activate" event:

For as long as the mouse button is pressed, copy the mouse x and y changes to changes in the faceplate's x and y position.

says in Point 3
"How do you determine the current mouse position by VB Script?
 In order to read the current mouse position, you have to access the API (application programming interface) of the operating system.
 Access to the operating system's API by means of DLLs is not supported in VB Scripts."

But I know a C-script, which did work in WinCC-Classic, and may work in TIA-Portal Runtime Proffesional too.

is TIA WinCCprofessional really running on TP2200?

So if i understand the tips and tricks correct, it is possible if i start using Tia WinCC Professional. With WinCC Professional, i can make a C script and  interface with the correct DLL file to get the mouse position.

Really thanks for your toughts on this. At the moment i cannot say if we make this upgrade, so don't expect any progress reports. But really thanks.

Upgrading the software will not make the HMI have more functions.
WinCC comes in two flavours - designing a device (HMI) and SCADA running on a PC.

The SCADA package do not run on your HMI.... please read the answers above again.

You are right. I was already thinking how to get the names of the embedded DLL's and functions, but this explains it.

Each incrementing license type is for configuring the next family of HMI devices, and upgrading to Professional does still not allow C-scripts on a comfort panel. The correct answer is thus: "No" and upgrading to Professional does not allow extracting the mouse cursor position on a comfort panel.
