moveing softnet and OPC server config to a new box

The box is a small dell runnng win2k that has 2 ethernet cards. The built in card communicates with an S5 135 PLC containing a 6GK1143 ethernet card via industrial ethernet. I know how to edit the mac address and TSOP on the PLC, and that both of those fields must agree with the entries on the Softnet box. But I get pretty confused when I look at all the stuff on the machine running softnet since this machine is also an OPC server, via the other ethernet card, to the rest of my network. Which configuration files do I need to move and edit to replace my old box with my new one? thanx :-> tb

You have then tried to load the OS using SIMATIC Manager. Dumb question though, when I look at the programs under Simatic, I don't see a STEP 7 choice, and therefore there is no NCM S7 underneath it. I installed the Simatic Net V6.2 with SP1 on the new machine. Obviously I'm missing something, I'm just not sure what. thanx :-> tb

There must select to install SIMATIC NCM PC. Did you select this? Do you remember where was assign directory for installation? regards
