EStrilM Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi, we have some old discontinued Siemens LOGO! 24RC (6ED1 052-1HB00-0BA6) at work. one of them stopped working correctly, so we want to replace it with a new one. my question is, as long as i have the correct programming cable, can i use a newer software to transfer the programming of this unit to a newer unit? (in the manual it said Soft Comfort V4.0) which seems to be for Win XP and older I am new to this kind of work on Siemens products, so the numbers (6ED1 052-1HB00-0BA6) dont mean a whole lot to me other than it is some sort of Siemens product. I searched around with this number and saw it was discontinued. thanks in advance for any help with this.

I searched around with this number and saw it was discontinued. thanks in advance for any help with this. You will be able to use the most current version software with all versions of LOGO! devices. Your biggest challenge will be to get the cable to work in Windows 10. There is no issue if you have a USB type programming cable for the older LOGO!. Note that your version of hardware can be configured in the LogoSoft software before you proceed to work with the upload / download.

Why do you have to log in and register for downloading export-restricted software and what data do you need for this? The upgrade can only be installed if a full version is installed on the hard disk or a full version is available on an installation medium: How do you install a downloaded upgrade for LOGO!Soft Comfort with or without installed LOGO! software? If you have (or buy) a new LOGO! (currently the current LOGO! is a LOGO! 8.3), then you definitely need LSC V8.3. With V8.3 you can create programs for all LOGO! devices (even older ones) or edit old programs and also load programs into older LOGO!s or load them from older LOGO!s onto the PC.
