Hi all, I am designing a system which consists of the S7 412-3-2H Redundant bundle (code:6ES7 656-8BA33-1CB0). and touchscreen (MP 277). I know that the ET-200M (redundant profibus line) connects through Profibus to the redundant CPU which the architecture looks like AB ControlLogix. Anyway, my question is 1. How should i connect the MP 277 to the CPU? through profibus network or ethernet? 2. [snip] ... split to S7 412-3-2H Redundant bundle: How can a DCS communicates with the CPU using Modbus Thanks in advance.. |

Hello DPC,You can use Profibus or Ethernet. Both will work. How do you connect a panel to a SIMATIC H station? [snip] ... Best regards. H-H |

Hello DPC,Yes you can. The 412-3H can have up to 16 connection. One of the 16 must always be free for PG communication for uploading and downloading HW configuration and program blocks. You can use the other available connections as you wish. Best regards. H-H |
