kaudio Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	So I have a problem experienced by others on the board. My unit only displays bootloader when powered up and does nothing else. I read tons of post and pdfs and I got Prosave to try to resolve it. Issue is I dont have pc handy with serial cable soi got a usb/ppi cable. I connected it but I cannot get it to connect to unit. I changed drivers and everything and if I go to backup page the button is greyed. If I go to restore the button is greyed and cant do nothing, if I go to OS update and hit device statusI get error code 0x63 function 0x2d. I know the best is the RS232 Multimaster cable but I got to try with what I got now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

kaudio Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	The weird thing is I am using a USB/PPI and I left the option on Serioa 232 on Prosave and when I hit device status it did communicate and came back with no OS found. Dont know if that means my OS is corrupted or just since I had wrong selection it just selected that. The HMI did show a loading bar on the bottom when I did do that before it came back with that message though. Any thoughts? How would I upload a new OS if its completed corrupted? I dont have any images or backups.

Problem is I dont have no img or back up of the OS so not sure what to do. The button on the OS UPDATE is greyed and I cant press it so not sure what the next step is. I read the pdf but since that button is grey and doesnt allow me to press I dont know what to do.

Here is an exampleFolder with .IMG files, ist inside WinCCflex Directory... C:\Program Files (x86)\Siemens\SIMATIC WinCC flexible\WinCC flexible Images\Mobile_MP277\Mobile_MP277_V1_1_4_2.img
