MP370 and Microsoft Pocket Excel

The customer wants to use Excel to manipulate data and then write the data to a tag(s) to sent to the PLC. Does the MP and or WinCCFlexible support this? I was thinking that I could use pocket Excel to run on CE but I do not know how to get the data from Excel into the MP, like a DDE exchange. I know how to do it in another HMI package via access names but do not know if it can be done in the panel. Any ideas would help, if it's to use a PC or whatever it's ok, again, any ideas are useful. When I try to install a vendors Excel for Windows CE the MP370 will say that the version of Excel is not correct for this version of Windows. Do you know of a reputable vendor for Excel for CE? Do I have to do anything to the MP370 in order to run Excel? Thanks again for your reply. Sincerely, TheFro

Nemo Posts: 3149 Rating: (172)	Hi the WinCE version on your panels is as far as I know adapted to Panels needs, so I am not sure, whether all NON-simatic application can be run on this operating system. skimmer Bronze Member Joined: 9/5/2007 Last visit: 3/7/2023 Posts: 317 Rating: (18)	The pocket Excel you have will not work on Siemens HMI CE panels. I believe the new version of WinCC Flexible is planned to include viewers for Excel and Word. It should be released in August.
