MP377 - PL or MTTF according ISO 13849-1

I would like to know if the MP377 could meet this requirement. According to ISO 13849-1, a programable device can't be category 1, so the MP377 is category B. Also with the category and the MTTF or B10 I could get the PL. Thank you in advance and sorry for my english. Felipe

Standard EN 1010-1:2005+A1:2010 states the following: 5.2.6.3.4 When for adjustment or setting with guards open or other protective devices disable, machine movement at reduced speed or limited movement is necessary by means of e.g. a hold-to-run control device or a two-hand-control, such movement shall be restricted to machinery withing the view of the person operating the hold-to-run control device or the two-hand control. The interlock/safety related parts of the control system providing this function shall comply at least with PL "b", in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1:2008, or SIL 1 of EN 62061:2005. In our case, for maintenance propouses, we have a enabling device (a.k.a. deadman handle) to performe these movements. There is a menu in the MP377 (access with login and password) to select the part of the machinery to move with the enabling device. So it seems that the MP377 is the system providing the restricting function requering PL "b" according standard EN 1010-1. I don't find any related info in the certificates. From here, we can find MTTF = 2 * MTBF = 14,2 years. If we put in PAScal or Sistemathis value, plus that the touchscreen issingle channel without any diagnostic coverage, we get the following results: Cat. B PL b PFHd 8.78E-06 MTTFd limited to 13 years Regards, Felipe
