Thanks for positive responce, Marcjan. I got some good pointers from a developer of some equipement that uses this configuration with E1000 HMI and S7-300, and it turned out that i was way of with thex_sendsolution The solution was to use shared datablocks (DB) and "cryptic" adresses like DB1.DBW0... I would never have gotten to that solution on my own. Another breakthrough was to change the interface settings to RS485 in stead of 422.... I have now successfully got digital and analog (integer/signed 16-bit) signals from the PLC datablock to the HMI.
