MPI and Bejer E1000 HMI

Karlsen Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Not being experienced in communication, i'm having a hard time getting my S7-313C to communicate with a Bejer E1071 HMI through MPI. Do i have to use the X_SEND/RCV blocks in step 7 (using Tia v11)? If so, have anyone an programming example with a x_send block that sends data out on the MPI network for some third party component to read? Getting grey hairs over this because i don't know whether i am programming the HMI or the PLC wrong or (most likely) both cpt Stig

Do you have a manual that you can share, so we can have a look at this problem? Regards, Marcjan

I got some good pointers from a developer of some equipement that uses this configuration with E1000 HMI and S7-300, and it turned out that i was way of with thex_sendsolution The solution was to use shared datablocks (DB) and "cryptic" adresses like DB1.DBW0... I would never have gotten to that solution on my own. Another breakthrough was to change the interface settings to RS485 in stead of 422.... I have now successfully got digital and analog (integer/signed 16-bit) signals from the PLC datablock to the HMI.
