If I remember well, 1,5 mbit should not be a problem for this cable over MPI.

But Profibus net needs proper termination (and terminators are in plugs usually) which this cable doesn't offer. Unless you mean connecting a PC/PG to a profibus network over a plug with PC/PG connector.

You can use the potential-separated*) MPI/DP interface to connect the SIMATIC Power PG P4 to a SIMATIC S7 programmable controller or to a PROFIBUS network. The MPI patch cord (5m) for connecting to SIMATIC S7-CPUs (Order no.: 6ES7901-0BF00-0AA0) is included in the consignment. The data transfer rate is limited to 187.5 Kbit/s when using this patch cord. For baud rates > 1.5 Mbit/s you must use a PROFIBUS cable for 12 Mbit/s (Order no. 6ES7901-4BD00-0XA0).
