MPI Communication With PC/MPI adapter via COM1 in PCS7 V8.0 SP1 in WIN-7

Facing a problem while trying to establish the communication between CPU-417 and PC with PC adapter with serial port(COM 1) .

There is no local connetion tab in the PC adpter(MPI) properties in set PG/PC where we can select the communication port (USB or COM).Software used .PCS7 V8.0 SP1,Windows 7 .

Yes i have a COM port in my PC . I checked twice in device manager. The problem is i dont have a USB in my MPI adapter. But i hope when we install the drivers for MPI adapter the com port (Local Connection) tab has to enable to set the baudrate of the COM port. Please help me out in solving this issue.
