MPI COMMUNICATION WITH TP1200 COMFORT

I have tried many times, and also try to create a project with a correct migration from WinCC flexible, but it doesn't want speak with PLC. Why? there are maybe some strange settings to do on the TP1200 panel? Ther are some other settings to do on TIA portal ? It's necessary to have the same configuration for download the project from the PG to the panel and for the communication between TP1200 and the CPU 312C ? why this complication, the new software is not user friendly!!!

My problem is not the transfer to the panel but the communication between the panel and the PLC 312C (MPI mode). The PLC project is made by step7 V5.5 and the HMI project is made by TIA portal V11 SP2. Maybe is necessary a cable made with two Profibus connector instead of a MPI cable ? thanks at everybody.

Do you have the right settings of your PLC? Which connectors and cables do I need to connect an OP/PG to an S7 controller? If you use a standard MPI cable, like that used for PG/PC connection to s7-cpu, the communication between TP1200 and S7-cpu is not established. It is necessary make a connection with profibus connectors (6ES7 972-0BA52...) walter

Tommy_p Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello all, I met also thiscrazy problem when I used standard MPI cable and then serial cable with all cores. Only profibus connectors and 2 core cable is the solution. Thank Youwalter_g forfinding a solution and sharingin forum. Regards
