MPI COMMUNICATION

pauksciukas23 Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Hello, i have problems with MPI. I use two CPU314C-2 PtP and i want read data from one to another. I filled GD TABLE, download to PLC , but this does not work. Programes are in one project in diffrent stations. That ishould do? Please help.

Why don't you look at the following FAQ on GD communications, and check out the step-by-step implementation document attached; use it as a checklistto troubleshootyour own application. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/430498 If it does not help, please place a screenshot of Netpro in your project and one of the GD table, even if you can show it all. Also i need three bit but they not filled in now. Two bits from one and one bit to another PLC. Attachment NetPro.pdf (107 Downloads)

Hello Pauks; I am fishing here, because I really cannot see anythig wrong with the basic settings, MPI addresses, GD table configuration... You have compiled and downloaded the GD table to each CPU, I presume. Except: you have configured word-sized addresses for your exchanges andI would have expected Dword-sized addresses, since you state that the signal should be in REAL format (32-bit size data). I am not sure if this is significant, but try changing this addressing clash, and see whether data in "SIMATIC 300(1)" is tranfered to "SIMATIC 300 Station". Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier
