Mario Braganca Posts: 124 Rating: (17)	YICIK MPI is not the same as Profibus. MPI is a Siemens network. Eletricaly MPI and Profibus are almost the same (RS-485) but most of the MPI interfaces are not isolated, so you must not use a MPI network with more than 50 m length except if you use the Profibus/MPI Repeater. Normally MPI works at 187.5 Kbits and in S7-400 CPUs up to 1.5 Mbits.
