I am not sure what you wnat to do with such a conversion. Any equipment configured to use the MPI protocol would also automatically use a RS-485 interface, not RS-232, since MPI is based on a RS-485 electrical standard.

However, there seem to be some such converters available on the market, for example the following one. You can search for more ousing Google.

Very possibly you are aiming to do something that is not going to work. Why do you want to convert MPI to "RS232" or "RS485" (related post)?

thanks for reply  yes but there  are two other device an asian cpu and an old hmi the hmi just suport rs-232 cuz its other port are devastated and i have to use rs-232  into connect to cpu ... so my after question : what is the rs-485's type? A?B?D?

sorry whats your mean? what aiming? i discribed my limittions top of this post : i have an old hmi that  its other port are  devastated and i have to use  rs-232 into connect to it... so i would like  know what were you thinking  as you were sending your answer?

I believe #dP's doubt is this: will your panel understand the CPU's MPI protocol on its RS-232 port?

If it is designed to exchange data with a CPU on its RS-232 port, then it would use standard RS-232 exchanges, and you should then use a serial CP, with RS-232 ports.

Can you give us details on this panel, so we can find out what can be written and read from the RS-232 port? Often in a Siemens panel this RS-232 port is reserved for printer communications, for example.

In any case, as for your earlier question on RS-485, here are the part numbers for the RS-232 serial CPs for the S7-300 PLCs.
