What you have done is a fantastic job for which  you will be recognized in a bigger range!!

Further more doubts, 

My trial project is to connect the 1500 PLC to a online dashboard ( http://freeboard.io ) through MQTT server.

1. From your manual you are using a test mosquitto server. I have done the same pinged the test mosquitto.org and got the IP address.

So if I follow all the steps from your manual. Am I able to send datas to the MQTT or is there any other place to create a mosquitto broker.

Yes, you should able to subscribe data from and publish data to any MQTT broker which is complied with MQTT version 3.1.1 protocol. You can even build up your own MQTT broker on your local PC (ex.https://mosquitto.org/download/).

Hi Yu-Weng,

Now I am able to download the project for both the PLC and HMI in to the system,

1. In the HMI the displayed error ID is 80A1 for which description is not available.

After I searched the TCP/IP docs it stated that 

Communications error: • FB 65 "TCON" was not yet called for the specified ID • The specified connection is currently being terminated. Transmission over this connection is not possible. • The interface is being reinitialized. 

2. I have not connected the PLC to the internet. Can I just plug in the ethernet cable with ethernet facilty so that the PLC can be connected to internet. or is there any other setting that I must do.

From page 3 of your document in the second note it is mentioned that the MQTT client block must be called by a communication block.

If so how do I make the MQTT client be called by the TCON block for the connection to the internet via Ethernet.

1. For Error 80A1, already mentioned in the page 5 of my document: 16#8000~16#8999 Errors caused by T-Block commands (TSEND_C or TRCV), so you should check the status of the TSEND_C and TRCV commands. It's basically problem with TCP/IP connection. Please check the cable and the network setting of the PLC with the MQTT broker.
2. Your PLC must have internet access if you want to connect it to an internet based MQTT broker (ex. test.mosquitto.org). Plugging the cable in an Ethernet facility is not enough. Some setting must be done for this purpose. Please refer to the POST for how can you connect the PLC to internet (applicable to S7-1500 too) or search the forum for answer.
3. The second note of page 3 of my document mentions: "The MQTT Client function block does not use communication interrupt events to control the communication process. Your program must poll the MQTT Client function block for transmit and receive complete conditions." Basically you can ignore this note, because the TCP/IP communication process is already been monitoring by the MQTT Client function block internally. Just call the MQTT Client function cyclically (ex. in OB1, mentioned in the first note of page 3).

I have connected my PLC to internet. I am able to access my PLC in my office LAN and I am able to see the status of my CPU through online Web. But it since my network provider IP is Dynamic I am unable to access my PLC through remotely. So I guess this is the reason why I am getting th 80A1 error. 

Any idea of how to solve this ?

It will be very useful if you let us know how you have connected to internet.

Dear Satheesh,
If you cannot get a static IP for your PLC, you can try to solve the problem using a router with its Port Forwarding function. On the WAN side, this router takes a dynamic IP address from your ISP's DHCP server. The "Port Forwarding" function allows you to define a single public/private port (port 102 for S7 PLC) on your router for redirection to an internal LAN IP address (IP of your PLC, ex. 192.168.x.x).

I just solved my problem.

The problem was the APN name should be provided by the Internet service provider. Once I set up the router to this APN autamatically the static IP of the Internet service provider will be linked.

Now I will tryout the MQTT Issues.
