MSI File Initialization failed

Adnan Shahid Posts: 8 Rating: (0)	Now I am installing SIMATIC STEP Professional V11 I have DELL, Windows XP SP3 installed. But after initial check it is giving an error : MSI File initializing failed : ERROR_OPEN_FAILED How to remove this error ? Please help

Please help Have you looked in the log file to see what msi file is generating the error? You can run it (the faulting msi)manually from the dvd, then run the install (portal)again.
