As for the constitution of the project, S7-400 is redundant. CP443-1EX uses Duble Link. Two PROFIBUS lines lead to CP443-5DX's. I temporarily call two PROFIBUS lines PL_A and PL_B. The phenomenon of the problem occurs in the following procedures. I stop CP443-5DX's connecting with PL_A. Then LED EXTF of CP443-5DX of the PL_B side turns on, and communication stops. When the PL_A side does RUN, the PL_B side restores. Is this right behavior? By the way, CP443-5DX of the PL_A side works normally when I stop CP443-5DX of the PL_B side. The PROFIBUS communication is done between CP443-5 and I/O. In the state that PROFIBUS communication is possible, I turn on STOP switch of CP443-5(PL_A). Then LED EXTF of CP443-5(PL_B) turns on, and communication stops. The constitution is as follows. Redundant System PS CPU CP443-1 CP443-1 CP443-5 (PL_A) i/o's CP443-5 (PL_B) i/o's Best regards

Rated X Posts: 1547 Rating: (129)	Hello, this reaction is not OK in your system. Check diagnostic buffer of both systems and also diagnostic buffer of PROFIBUS CP's. If you have any clear message please post it. If not then i suggest opening a support request at Siemens support for deeper analysis.

You do not need to insert profibus CP for each node. You can save money by using only two CPs or use the built in Profibus port on the CPU. Back to your configuration, you have 4 different profibus networks, but you are talking about only two. So, please attache a screen shot of NetPro here.
