Hello Friends.

I've a been allotted Siemens 300 PLC along with Rockwell 500 PLC, Schneider Compact Platform, ABB Compact PLC and GE 90-30. The SCADA is WinCC v7.0 SP3.

Now I've previously transferred tags from RSLogix 5000 to WinCC e.g. https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/ww/en/posts/opc-server/130697/?page=0&pageSize=10#post587106 and know the process of communication between the two platforms.

Presently this trouble I'm facing and after studying a lot got that GE & Schneider do not understand Profinet, WinCC doesn't have .chn for ABB. Then how to transfer the tags from all the above platforms to WinCC.

If you use OPC for communication then you need an OPC Server which can access the Tags of all the needed PLC Platforms. Or every PLC company has its own OPC Server to access the PLC Tags.

So in WInCC you need only to use the OPC Channel for Communication  (OPC Client).

If you do not have a valid communication Channel then you have to use company independed Solutions like OPC.
