Multiple alarm selection

RamonT Posts: 9 Rating: (1)	Hi all, As far as I know, you can only acknowledge one single alarm or all visible alarms in the list. But Iwas wondering if it is somehow possible to select say, 4 different alarms fromyour message list and acknowledge them with one single click. Cheers, Ramon

There is the VBS function alarm_control.GetSelectedMsg (and an equivalent in C but I don't know the name). This will give you the alarm that is selected. Maybe in the alarm control's Mouse Click Event you could run this function and build up an array of selected messages. Then program an acknowledge button that loops through the alarms and acknowledges them. This is just an idea but maybe it's something you can expand on. Or even better, maybe someone knows of a standard way ? Daniel1983 You can do this easily using Alarm Groups. So in the Alarm Logging Editor create a custom alarm group and add all your alarms into it. Assign an acknowledge bit to the group. Then whenever that bit is set high it will acknowledge all your alarms. Salma

Danielle Posts: 1275 Rating: (123)	Hi Daniel, The readon why I usually use the acknowledge visible function, and I believe it's the reason why it's so much easier to access, is 'cause if you acknowledge all the alarms the user may acknowledge something without seeing it, and if it goes away, it may take a long time until they realize that ever happened. I'm looking for the acknowledge selected function in C... if I find it, I'll post! Best regards, Danielle
