Multiple connections to a PLC using Prodave 6.

Ramsing Posts: 19 Rating: (1)	Ihave unfortunately encountered a new problem. Our system uses two PCs for HMI, and a single PLC for controlling the system I am working on. When I attempt to connect to the PLC from PC 2 I get the follwing error: res = 16644: which translates to"No resources available in the driver." from the error.dat file. I can not see anything broken, and it is the same application running on the pcs except for an identification integer used to communicate with the database. I can access the plc fom Step7 using ethernet, no problems there. On the 443 network module is teh error: 16# F9C1:2101 showing up numerous times, but it is only the 2 mentioned PCs + 2 Step7 computers conencting to the PLC. The 443 network module reports 26% used work memory with 4 active S7 connections. Anyone who can help me resolve this situation ? Regards Jes Ramsing

J_Bell Posts: 5822 Rating: (412)	Hello, I think much more interesting is here the view to the Resources of the CPU you used. The number in the CP represents only the number of connections over the CP but not the number of connection in the CPU. You better check there first. As an example I add a Screenshot from my CPU. Markku Posts: 7 Rating: (2)	Hi Rmsing, Do you have step7 installed on PC 2. If not, Prodave 6 can't get needed resources. For that I got one hotfix from Siemens support few months ago.
