Multiple Rungs in a Network???

On other projects using a S7-12xx PLC I was able to put multiple rungs in a Network, this project is a S7-315 PLC and I get errors if I try to put mulitple rungs in a network... This seems rather strange or is there a good reason for this?

Hello , There are rules for creating logics in LAD and it is compulsory to follow them.In STEP7,LAD editor will not allow you to create wrong logics in Nature in most of the time. For your case in TIA Portal,error is clearly pointed out. "The Network contains more than one current path".There are rules that should be followed for error-free operation. Here compiler is helping and pointing out that error.For complex LAD logics, try using branches. Hello, As shown in the attachment, I have recreated same issue as you mentioned.No error for compiler in STEP7 Basic while checking codes for S71200 controllers.As I mentioned before, Compiler is the bridge between you and controller.So,compiler check if codes are suitable for selected controller with its own criteria. For me ,when I have error in compiled version of my codes,I try to clear errors to have error-free codes.Prohibited Multiple rungs for S7300 may be due to different Hardware and firmware structure. Hello, Writing on inputs (e.g %I0.0) are possible as they are parts of process image (section in system memory) as shown in attachment.I think that is not cause of mentioned error.
