multiple touch screens on one lean card problem

timmermans Posts: 66 Rating: (0)	Hello Everyone, I am having the following configuration: CPU 317F-2 PN/DP 6ES7 317-2FK14-0AB0 CP 343-1 Lean 6GK7 343-1CX10-0XE0 5x MP 277 8” touch screen All the touch screens are connected over a switch 8-port to the lean card. If I connect the 5^th screen I am able to ping al the 5 screens and the lean card, but I can’t monitor the PLC over the lean card anymore. It’s also possible to control the system with all the 5 touch screens. Maybe someone can help. Thank you very much. Yours, J. Timmermans

Well accordint to this data http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/42982507/tdyou should be able to gave 4 stations communicating with S7 protocol and in total you can have 8 stations with this CP. It would be interesting to see online data about used communication resources. You can do that with MPI. I would like to hear some explanation also from other members.

Darius Platinum Member Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 3/15/2025 Posts: 2957 Rating: (243)	You should be able to go online with you PLC by using MPI connection and then you could check how much communication resources Lean processor is using when all 5 screens are connected. It would be very fast way to check why you can't go online with PLC on ethernet when all 5 panels are connected.

Darius Platinum Member Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 3/15/2025 Posts: 2957 Rating: (243)	Hi, In HW configuration please put 1 for reserver PG connections and 5 for OP,l but this will not change anything in this case as this is CPU's connection resources and you have 32 in total. Please make diagnostics of CP343-1Lean itself and not for CPU. It is everything ok with the CPU and it is not causing you a problems. Its Lean card. Make diagnostic of it and post it here. You can see reall used connections then.

It seems that you hav used all available connections. Ok, I'll check the manual also and see what it claims.
